I did suggest calling the authorities, but OH wanted to try and find the parents first.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To be fair to the parents, I don't think they noticed.  This can happen, especially when distracted at something like a wedding, and especially if someone says, 'oh she's over there', or you see some other child and think it is yours.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I did manage to get lost on a couple of occasions as a child - it happens, and my parents were very attentive.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I'll pass on your compliments to my OH. What bothers me is that after 2 hours missing, it looks like the parents and wedding guests had not instituted anything official?  How could that be?  I would have had the military involved after 20 minutes, and you can ask my kid what happened when I couldn't find her!&lt;br&gt;As they say, it takes a village, and I am glad your OH is part of our village.
