It certainly is a wine zone.  Very nice area, but then Italy is full of them, indeed, Italy is a very nice area, with the exception of one or two cities, maybe.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And I was told that on a clear day, it takes around 50 minutes to get there from Milan.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;My Tre mobile would not pick up email in the area though, which was a shame.  I wouldn't mind living around there one bit. The train situation is a nightmare, especially in August.
