Hello, I would e-mail you but the blog doesn't allow it, so I thought I'd post you a comment instead. I am simply a fellow Blogger, and came across your blog through the random "next blog" button. I don't know why, but I just found your blog compelling! I like the way you write, probably because it is without pretence, plus it's really interesting reading about your perspective on life in Italy as an Englishman. The funny thing about a blog is that you know you're reading the musings of a real person that have not been published for profit or fame, but simply as a means of expression. This makes them much more interesting than just print-journalism, which always has something driving it. So, I guess that's why I like your blog. I too am a foreigner - an Englishman in Glasgow! You can read my blog at mykindofhonesty.blogspot.com - though it is a rather disjointed affair and maybe won't interest you at all! Good luck with the teaching. Yours, Danny

Many thanks for your kind and encouraging and unexpected words, Danny from Glasgow. I never even thought anyone would find my tales 'compelling' to quote you, or even find my wafflings at all for that matter. I hope you continue to read and enjoy what I enjoy jotting down!!
