I really don't envy you there, Alex, and I can fully sympathize. I've had some hellish neighbours in the past, for example, clouds of dope smoke wafting across our garden as our babies play outside.
We are VERY lucky with our apartment in Rome, however. We all have marble floors but we rarely hear a thing from our upstairs neighbours. I guess it has something to do with the fact that we are the only people in the building under 60 years old.

Well, Ria, I envy you for living in a nice quiet appartment block. You never really know with flats here. You look round them, maybe even a couple of times, like them, buy or rent them. Then you move in - 'Paradise lost'. Boo hoo.
